Here's my new corner cabinet.
While browsing one day at Home Depot
I found a corner cabinet and the size was just what I needed. It comes
in pieces and you build it which I feel is more than half the fun.
Here's an inside view of
the cabinet.
Here's the fine organization
on
the side door of the trailer.
While wandering around a Lowe's
in Newport News one day I found
the door racks I had been searching
for. It seems no other stores had
any in stock and I found a close-out
deal that was just great. I bought every
door rack they had.
Not bad for $1.74 a rack...
Some guys asked what this
was in the previous picture.
This is a dry erase board that I use to make
sure I pack everything I need for a race. I can also write reminders
on the bottom.
Here's the fuel and water
storage.
You can also see my bench I use
for changing clothes.
It's a great place to sit.
It's called a Boot Bench
and it's made by a company
called Step2.
I mounted my heater for those cold
nights sleeping in the trailer.
This is a Mr. Heater Portable
Buddy Heater. It works really well.
You can run it off a small disposable
propane cylinder or the grill size one.
I bought mine at Northern Tools
on a
great sale.
Update
I had been using one of the
small propane bottles but the heater kept shutting off. Come to find
out the heater has a built in oxygen sensor that is very sensitive. I
found by using the 20lb propane bottle and running the hose through
the side door crease, I would get more fresh are in the trailer
and the heater would run all night, no problem.
I've added a combination smoke detector,
CO2 detector directly above the heater just
for good messure.
May 04 Update
I've been slowly adding items to my trailer
to make it easier to travel and more organized. Here are some pictures
and descriptions to update you....
Here's a shelf I added over the previously mentioned Boot Bench. My
neighbor had just finished redoing his closet and had some extra pieces of
shelving. Worked great in my trailer and the price was right, FREE!!!
I started accumalating small items on
the front shelf and decided it was time to add some more cabinet space. I
went back to Home Depot and purchased cabinets that matched the corner cabinet
already installed. I haven't installed the knobs on the doors yet.
You can also see the 2X4 I used just to add more security to mounting
the cabinets. I added some storage hooks to the 2X4 also. You
can see the insulation I added to the roof of the trailer to try and maintain
some heat when it's cold outside.
Here's what our sleeping arrangement looks like .
I just setup my outside stuff, unload the bike, put down a Walmart
carpet, and then inflate the queen size air mattress. Instant
bedroom.
